A sub-inspector (SI) of Bangladesh Police was killed in a road crash in Moulvibazar.

The accident also injured eight others – including five police members and three suspects.

In the early morning today, the crash took place near the district’s Moynar Dokan area.

The deceased was identified as SI Sameeran Chandra Das who was stationed at Rajnagar police station, according to Moulvibazar Sadar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Ziaur Rahman Zia.

One of the wheels of the police pickup van carrying SI Chandra, other police officers and three wanted suspects exploded and hit a tree on the way back from Uttarbagh Tea Garden in Rajnagar.
